Tim Ames

Tim spent years in construction, commercial HVAC and building automation before deciding to open an inspection company in Florida. Services included residential, commercial, wind mitigation, insurance, Termite, mold and expert witness. They specialized in historical property and seawall inspections.

Tim loves inspecting the different types of architecture in Georgia.


Shelley Belknap

With a background in architecture, Shelley has been involved in the building industry for more than 24 years. Shelley’s career has taken her throughout the southeast to design commercial and residential buildings for new construction and historic renovations, to design energy efficient single family homes, and to inspect these buildings during construction. After a near miss with mold during her own home buying experience, Shelley expanded her professional services to include property inspections for the real estate market. This experience has given Shelley a wealth of knowledge to share with today’s buyer.

Shelley earned a Bachelor of Architecture professional degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and she is an ASHI Certified Inspector.

Shelley enjoys restoring her mid-century modern house to its former glory and watching her kids play soccer.


Colin Chandler

Colin has delivered exceptional inspections with US Inspect since 2002.

Colin has delivered thousands of high-quality home inspections to happy customers throughout the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.

Colin is a frequent presenter at first-time homebuyer seminars and enjoys working with Realtors and buyers to understand inspection findings.

Colin earned an Associate’s Degree from General Motors Institute.

Colin spends time with family and friends and goes fishing when the weather allows.


Kevin Faust

Kevin has over 20 years of construction experience, specializing in home building, remodeling and repairs.

In 2014, Kevin received his home inspector license from the American Society of Home Inspectors. Kevin’s keen attention to detail from his construction days has served him well as a home inspector.

Originally hailing from New England, Kevin is proud to call Atlanta home.


Mark Hill

Mark works closely with buyers to insure they understand the inspection process, the report, and the importance the realtor has in determining what issues should be addressed prior to closing.

Mark graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Hotel Administration.


Matt Honea

Matt Honea is US Inspect’s Area Manager for the greater Metro Atlanta area. He has delivered thousands of high-quality home inspections to happy customers throughout the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.

Matt earned a BS in Business Administration from the College of Charleston.

Matt enjoys collaborating with Habitat for Humanity on local residential construction projects.


Randal Patterson

Randal has been an ICC code certified inspector in the Atlanta area since 1998. He has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Tech, and is a licensed residential contractor, having been in the business for over 30 years.

Randal enjoys reading, fishing, yard work and doing triathlons. He and his wife of over years, Lynn, have two daughters and one son-in-law. He is active in his church and has a passion for serving others and local missions.


Kurt Puterbaugh

In 2011, after 20+ years of experience in various aspects of residential construction including building and renovations, becoming a home inspector seemed a natural progression for Kurt.

After an apprenticeship with a well known inspection company during which he performed well over 1000 inspections, Kurt started with US Inspect in Atlanta metro with the desire to personally provide high quality inspections to Realtors and their clients.

Upon returning from San Antonio after working for a national firm, he brings his professional standards to US Inspect in the Atlanta market.


Bruce Ramsey

Bruce has delivered thousands of high-quality home inspections to happy customers throughout the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.

Prior to US Inspect, Bruce had his own home inspection company for 7 years. He was a licensed general contractor and an officer of the North Carolina Licensed Home Inspector Association. He returned to his native Atlanta to continue his home inspection career. Bruce has inspected virtually every type of home built.

Bruce is a native of Atlanta and attended Georgia Southern University.


Chuck Rothman

Chuck hails from the great state of Florida and possesses over 40 years of experience in the inspection industry.

Prior to US Inspect, Chuck owned his own home inspection business.

Chuck enjoys golfing and spending time with his two grandchildren.


Danny Sanderson

Prior to US Inspect, Danny spent almost three years in Singapore as a part of Campus Outreach International arranging host families for Chinese international students. Danny remains active in local ministry in the greater Atlanta area.

Danny earned a BA degree in Philosophy from Georgia Southern University and graduated from the Georgia Conference of Home Inspectors.

Danny enjoys reading good books with good coffee and spending time with his family.


Brian Smay

Prior to US Inspect, Brian owned and operated a graphics design company for over 20 years, at which he developed a keen eye for detail and a firm grasp of structural design. His experience translates perfectly into exceptional home inspections.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Atlanta College of Arts and is an avid painter.


Don Wellman

Don Wellman has many years of experience in the Real Estate industry in the areas of development, investment, and management; as well as appraising and inspecting. Before engaging in the real estate industry, Don was a IT Project Manager for various fortune 500 companies. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and has a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Mercer University.

When Don is not inspecting real estate, he is scouting eligible high school student athletes to play at the NCAA collegiate level.
